Bikram Basra, CEO

Dr. Bikram Basra

Dr. Basra completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri in 2000. After that, he went on to complete a rigorous one-year internship at Metroplex Veterinary Hospital in Texas. Then he spent a year and half in Los Angeles working under his uncle, after which he moved to Northern California where he worked at Greenback Animal Hospital.

In 2004, Dr. Basra opened Rocklin Park Veterinary Hospital and merged with Stanford Ranch Animal Medical Center in 2010 to establish Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Basra has 2 beautiful children with his wife Dr. Kaur, and a goldendoodle that was adopted earlier this year named Magness.

Tammy Kerns, COO

Tammy has been in the veterinary field since 1999 and received her license as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2008. She worked several years in emergency and critical care before starting at Rocklin Park Veterinary Hospital in 2009 as the Supervising Technician. Advancements in her career within the Rocklin Park Veterinary team led her to the management path. She earned her CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) designation in January 2021 and she now serves as the Director of Operations. Tammy is married and has 1 daughter. They share their home with a dog, a cat and a horse. Tammy's hobbies include camping, traveling and horses.

Kari has been an RVT for 20 years and previously worked at an emergency/referral hospital where she obtained two veterinary technician specialties, one in emergency and critical care and the other in neurology. She has been part of the Rocklin Park family since 2017 where she started as a Hospital Manager and has advanced to the position of Regional Manager. In addition to her duties as Regional Manager, she uses her experience and knowledge to help teach/train new and current technicians and assistants in anesthesia, pain management, CPR, and any advanced skills the staff may want to learn. Kari loves all outdoor activities, traveling, and hiking. Her greatest accomplishment was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2019.

Hosiet , Senior Medical Director

Dr. Hoseit is a graduate of the Veterinary School at the University of California, Davis, focusing on small animal medicine. Prior to veterinary school, she received her undergraduate degree in Neurology, Physiology and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Hoseit completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. Dr Hoseit joined the Rocklin Park veterinary team as an associate veterinarian at Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital in 2014. She went on to practice as a general practitioner and urgent care veterinarian in Rocklin and El Dorado Hills. Dr Hoseit now serves as the Medical Director for the Rocklin Park veterinary team, and oversees the mentoring program to new veterinarians. In addition to enjoying the leadership role and mentoring fellow veterinarians, Dr. Hoseit’s clinical interests center around internal medicine, ophthalmology and emergency medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys the great outdoors- spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters hiking, skiing, and adventuring.

Kyle Hacia, Medical Director

Dr. Kyle Hacia is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical year at the University of Georgia. As an undergraduate, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of California Santa Cruz. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Hacia returned to his hometown of Sacramento where he started working at Rocklin Park’s Sunrise Boulevard Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian in 2017. General practice has allowed him to foster a meaningful relationship with his hometown community and their pets. Dr. Hacia has a particular interest in internal medicine, cardiology, and soft tissue surgery.

As medical director, Dr. Hacia especially enjoys providing mentorship to Rocklin Park’s veterinarians. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife, who he met in vet school, and their beautiful daughter and Cocker Spaniel, Larry. He also enjoys camping, hiking, and attending sporting events with his extended family and childhood friends that still reside in the Sacramento area.

Jen Haselow, Talent Acquisition Specialist

Jen has worked in the Veterinary Industry as a RVT for over two decades. She started her career in the ICU/ER of a Veterinary Specialty Hospital for 10 years before she moved onto fulfilling her childhood dream as Veterinary Technician at SeaWorld.

After 7 years at Seaworld, she prioritized family and decided to stay home to raise her son.
Jen found a new career at a (Startup) Veterinary Triage Company where she moved from Remote Triaging Technician to Operations Manager overseeing the recruiting and scheduling aspect of the company for 5 years.

In 2022, she found a forever home at Rocklin Park Veterinary Hospital as their Veterinary Recruiter and enjoys working for a company she not only takes great pride in, but also believes in. Her favorite part of the job is connecting with candidates to place them in positions that they will thrive in throughout our many clinics across Sacramento.

Madison Erwin
HR Manager

Madison has focused the past two decades of her career within the pet industry. She has been a long-time advocate for both people and pets since the very beginning. Starting as a Lead Pet Care Specialist and quickly moving into Pet Hotel Management, she then made her way into the Veterinary field where she found her true calling within HR. Madison continues to put both the people on our teams and the pets in our care as her number one priority. In her personal life she always has at least 2 dogs by her side and enjoys spending time traveling.
